You know those moments when you unexpectedly receive something simple exactly when you need it? Like when you get an email from an old friend on a gloomy day, or a song you love randomly plays on the radio when you need a pick-me-up? Well that’s what happened when I was forwarded a newsletter by the admirable designer Paul Jarvis, about how his beloved pet rat had passed. It shared his unfiltered & introspective thoughts on life, loss, work … he wrapped it all up asking, “Is the direction of everything I’m creating truly something that’s important to me? Or am I just reacting to things already set in motion?”
I am tempted to copy & paste the whole thing for you to read, but instead I’ll pass on a link for you to subscribe to his weekly newsletter, The Sunday Dispatches. Maybe you’ll also find something you weren’t expecting. Also, try the links below. Surely they will entertain or enrich your day.

Then I watched it and all my hesitation went right out the window. There’s so much to know about ice! And did I mention it’s hilarious too?
Ditching Twitter

A million small changes can turn things around

Gridwork designed the website for this endeavor, and I am pumped and proud to be a part of this collaboration. Watch the video, Mudkarts - A story about climate change. It will make your day.
