Tenants Union

This remarkable organization advocates for the rights of home renters. From repairs to evictions to getting your deposit back, they play a vital role in the balance of power between landlords and tenants. As tenants ourselves for much of our adult lives, this project spoke to us on a personal level.

With a new executive director full of energy, they approached Gridwork to revamp their website. The centerpiece of the updated site is a comprehensive legal resource library to help reduce the amount of hands-on support for constituents with less complex problems. Their audience is disproportionately poor, marginalized and often in the middle of a major life crisis, so we approached the work with an abundance of empathy.
