V.K. Harber

Our friend V.K. trusted us with the great responsibility of presenting her groundbreaking work around spirituality, feminism, yoga, consciousness on her new website. Empathy, compassion, honesty. These are difficult concepts to communicate on a website.

We started by capturing a portrait that would represent a sense of calm in a chaotic world. So we setup a tripod in the middle of a busy day at Pike Place Market in Seattle and started shooting, allowing the busy shoppers to blur and fade into the background. This tension is balanced against an extremely minimal concept, with a stark white background and a thin, bookish typeface. The result is unique and memorable and one of our all-time favorite projects.
